A new initiative by the Commerce Ministry. The commerce and industry ministry on Wednesday stated it is developing a dashboard to support the industry flag issues or provide suggestions to the government on matters related to logistics services. The dashboard is expected to be launched for all authorized industry associations soon, it expressed.
To facilitate inter-ministerial coordination of service-related matters in logistics, an institutional mechanism, such as the Network Planning Group under PM GatiShakti, is also under consideration, the commerce ministry added. "Such endeavors are expected to give a significant boost to India's logistics efficiency," it said.
Further, it additionally noted that the creation of a user-interactive dashboard will allow authorized person associations to log in and lodge points or strategies for the federal government to observe and fix them in a clear process.
It will not only permit the division to address matters related to a single ministry/ department but also multiple ministries/departments. A user demonstration of the system was organized newly. In that, the prototype of the system and its advantages were discussed.
Notably, The initiative is expected to assist in the identification of procedural issues that lead to lower efficiency in logistics and higher logistics costs," the ministry stated.
