New Delhi : Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone organized an interactive session “North India Market Connect” in New Delhi on 28th May 2015 to showcase infrastructure development in its Container Terminals at Mundra & Hazira Port. This event was attended by major exporters/importers, shipping lines/agents, CHAs and Freight Forwarders in Delhi & NCR.

Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan – COO & Head Container Business wherein he shared insight of APSEZ management for Container terminal business. He shared with trade that APSEZ is developing Container terminal infrastructure with required connectivity proactively so that trade will not face any bottlenecks while exporting or importing their shipments at Mundra & Hazira. He also share that present Container terminal capacity at Mundra is 3.3 Million TEUs/annum which will be increase to 4.5 Million TEUs in year 2016-17, Hazira has capacity to handle 750, 000 TEUs.

APSEZ has also won concession agreement from Kamarajar Port Limited to build a container terminal at Ennore which is located about 24 km north of Chennai Port, Chennai. This will have capacity to handle 0.8 Million TEUs/annum and will commission in 1st quarter of 2016.

Mr. Shahzad Athar, AGM - Marketing gave presentation to update the North India Trade about the container terminals at Mundra & Hazira along with connectivity to North India.

CONCOR & KRIKBHCO Infrastructure declared commencement of its rail services from TKD, Dadari, Ratlam& Nagpur ICDs to Adani Hazira Port wherein CONCOR will be using KRIKBHCO railway siding at Hazira for connecting TKD & Dadari ICD’s to Hazira Port.

Mr.Harikrishnan Sundaram, General Manager-BD/Marketing hosted panel discussion which includes Mr. YashVardhan – Director, International Marketing & Operations, CONCOR, Mr. Amit Chaudhri – CEO, KRIBHCO Infrastructure Ltd, Capt. Ajay Kaura – President, NISSA, Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan – COO & Head, Container Business, APSEZ, Mr. Vivek Sharma – COO, Adani Logistics Ltd. Trade showed keen interest in Hazira port by clarifying their many doubts In the end Mr. D. K. Sensharma – COO, Adani Hazira Container Terminal thanked trade for supporting Adani Ports and requested Trade in North India to extend their support for Adani Hazira Port.
