Notification No. 155 / 2003 - Customs

                In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do so, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st  March, 2002, namely:- 

                In the said notification,-

(i)    in the opening paragraph, in the proviso, for clause (c), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

“ (c) the goods specified against serial No. 316C of the said Table on or after the 1st day of January,  2004.”;

(ii) in the Table,-

(a)          S.No. 316A and the entries in columns (2) to (6) shall be omitted;

(b)          after S. No. 316B and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and entries  shall be inserted, namely:-

Note.- The principal notification No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st  March, 2002 was published in the Gazette of India vide number G.S.R. 118(E), dated the 1st March, 2002 and was last amended vide notification No. 138 / 2003-Customs, dated the 5th September, 2003[G.S.R. 711(E), dated the 5th September, 2003].
