Notification No. 83/2005-Customs

 G In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do so, hereby makes the following  further amendments in the notification of  the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.55/2001-Customs, dated  the 16^th May,2001, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.360(E), dated  the 16^th May,2001, namely:-

      In the said notification, in condition (iv),-

(i) in the entry against (e), the word  “and” shall be omitted;

       (ii) after entry (g), the following entry shall be inserted , namely:-

 “(h)American Gem Society Laboratories (AGS Laboratories), 8917      West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89117.”.

 Note: The principal Notification number 55/2001-Customs, dated the 16^th May, 2001 was published  in Gazette of India, vide  number G.S.R. 360(E), dated the 16^th May, 2001 and was  further amended by-

(i) notification number 87/2004-Customs, dated the 6^th September,2004 published in the Gazette of India vide  number G.S.R.566 (E), dated the 6^th September,2004 , and

(ii) notification number. 50/2005-Customs, dated the 20^th May,2005, published in the Gazette of India vide  number G.S.R.331(E), dated the 20^th May,2005.
