Vinit Kumar appointed as Chairman of Kolkata Port Trust

KOLKATA: Mr. Vinit Kumar has taken over charge as Chairman of Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT).

MT Krishna Babu, Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust, was holding additional charge of KoPT since March 2016, in an interim arrangement.

Mr. Kumar is an IRSEE (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) officer of 1993 batch. Immediately after assuming charge, Kumar, held a meeting with the Deputy Chairmen and Heads of Departments of Kolkata Dock System and Haldia Dock Complex at the Kolkata Port Trust Headquarters.
