  • Rupee Weakens to 64.55 on Continued Capital Outflows

MUMBAI, JUNE 22:  The rupee fell by 3 paise to 64.55 against the dollar due to continued capital outflows amid growing demand for dollar from importers.

However, the rupee's losses were contained because of a weak dollar against key global currencies and a firm domestic equity market.

Yesterday, the rupee had closed with a marginal fall of 3 paise at 64.52 a dollar.

Meanwhile, the benchmark Sensex rebounded 136.27 points or 0.44 per cent to 31,419.91 in early trade.
