CHENNAI: Minister of State for Shipping and Transport Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan, visited Chennai Port Trust to review the ongoing projects of NHAI and projects /activities of Major Ports on July 14.
The Minister reviewed the ongoing projects with the officials of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India, Dept of Highways & Minor Ports, Govt. of Tamilnadu in the morning session.
Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Addl. Chief Secretary (Highways & Minor Ports), Govt. of Tamilnadu, Shri Alok Deepankar, Chief General Manager Tamil Nadu), NHAI, Mr M.P. Sharma, Chief Engineer (P 7), Ministry of road transport and highways,Mri H.M. Naqvi, CGM (T) & RO, NHAI, Ms. N. Shanthy, C.E.(NH), GoTN participated in the meeting.
In the Afternoon session, the Minister reviewed the Projects of Major Ports of. Chennai, Cochin, VOC Port Tuticorin and Kamarajar Port, Ennore and Enayam Port.
Mr P. Raveendran, Chairman, Mr Cyril C George, Deputy Chairman, Chennai Port Trust, Mr S. Anantha Chandra Bose, Chairman, Mr S. Natarajan, Deputy Chairman, VOC Port Trust Tuticorin, Mr M.A. Bhaskarachar, CMD, General Managers, Kamarajar Port Ltd, Traffic Manager, Chief Engineer and Secretary, Cochin Port Trust and Asst. Executive Engineer, Enayam Port participated in the review meeting of the Minister.
