Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari would be on a two-day visit to the port city of Visakhapatnam this week for a series of programmes that includes inauguration of several large-scale projects and an extensive review of the ports sector in the Country.
“The two-day review beginning on Thursday would take stock of all the Major Ports of the Country and would also set targets for the year,” said Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman MT Krishna Babu.
He also said that the Minister would be inaugurating the two new post Panamax Rail Mounted Quay Cranes and allied equipment at the Visakha Container Terminal Private Limited acquired at a cost of Rs 150 crore by the company for its operations during this visit.
