MUMBAI: Mumbai Port Trust carried out cleaning operations in one of its prime residential area at Wadala colony and adjoining roads under Swachhata Pakhwada on 20.3.2017. The Port Trust colony houses about 10,000 population of port employees and their family members.
Shri Rajendra Paibir, Secretary, Shri K.G. Nath, FA&CAO, Shri R. Murugadoss, Chief Engineer, Shri N.M. Borwankar, Chief Mechanical Engineer and Welfare Officers were present.
Shri Rajendra Paibir, Secretary, Mumbai Port Trust emphasized the need for clean environment stating that keeping the house, its building and the surroundings clean would help in keeping the colony clean which will help in keeping the city, the State and the Country clean.
Shri Paibir appealed to all the employees to rise to the occasion and ensure that not only the entire colony is kept clean but their work station should also be kept clean which will lead to disease free quality life.
Shri Paibir stated that this cleanliness drive should not be restricted only during Swachhata Pakhwada, but should be a continuous process and assured of co-operation.
The drive was carried out throughout the colony and adjacent roads with the help of more than 100 employees and their family members.
