Total import-Export revenue of Vietnam in the first four months of 2018 is estimated USD 144.13 billion, which is increase of 14.4 percent and Vietnam's export value is expected to reach USD 73.76 billion a rise of 19 percent while the import is expected to reach USD 70.37 billion, an increase of 10.1 percent according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Telephone and spare parts export saw the highest growth in the export which is 36.8 percent, garment products also increased 15.7 percent, computer and aquaculture products increased by 13 percent and electronic products and parts 10.83 percent.
The value of the imported computer, electronic products, and parts rose 22.3 percent to USD 13.42 billion while machinery equipment and spare parts dropped 7.4 percent to USD 10.16 billion.
But there was a drop in the total revenue in the month of April, total trade of Vietnam is estimated USD 35.7 billion, which is a drop of 10.8 percent compared to the previous month.
While export showed a reduction of 13.9 percent on a monthly basis to USD 18.2 billion, and imports also fell 7.3 percent to USD 17.5 billion in the month of April. Due to which the trade surplus is estimated USD 700 million in the month of April, raising the surplus value to USD 3.39 billion for the January-April period.
