Allcargo Logistics Ltd, a global leader in integrated logistics, listed on NSE and BSE and part of the Avvashya Group, recently hosted a trade meet for stakeholders of the Indo-Africa trade lane at Crowne Plaza, Okhla, New Delhi. The event, called ‘Acing Africa with Allcargo’, saw the participation of over 100 eminent personalities from the industry, Mr Vanish Ahluwalia, Senior General Manager, North India, welcomed the guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Shantha Martin, CEO (NVOCC - ISC, Middle East, Africa and East Mediterranean), said: "Africa is cited to be the continent that will witness maximum growth and economic development in the years to come. It has always been a key market for Allcargo. Our strength in Africa will not only help our clients increase their business but will also help boost trade relations with India."

The objective of the event was to showcase Allcargo’s capabilities in the continent, to handle end-to-end solutions on Less Than Container Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), airfreight and project cargo. Allcargo extends its presence in Africa via ECU Worldwide which operates in 160 countries across the globe and is a leader in LCL consolidation. It is expanding its bandwidth in integrated logistics worldwide.
The event saw the presence of diplomats like Mr Alfred Vilili, Counsellor (Trade), High Commission of the Republic of Malawi and Mr Witness Ngwenya from the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
Mr Anil Khaitan, Vice-President of PHDCCI, Member of WPO, Institutional Member of AIMA & DMA, Director of BOS and Chairman of SNK Corp., Mr Sanjay Beswal, a Director in Andees Consulting, Speaker, Trainer and Advisor to Logistics and Finance Departments of several MNCs, Indian organisations, public sector companies; Mr Sanjeev Sardana, Chairman – Int’l Committee for Africa, PHDCCI, Chairman – Int’l Business Division, IEEMA, Member YPO, Delhi Chapter, MD of Yamuna Power and Infrastructure Ltd, were present at the event as speakers.
Leading supporters of the business who have performed exceptionally well on the trade routes were felicitated.
Mr Madhur Anand and Mr Parvinder Singh from Delhi Export Sales gave insights into the trade opportunities between India and Africa, and Mr Suhas Labde, Vice-President, Project Logistics shared the strengths of the project vertical of the company. He showcased the expertise of projects undertaken by the group in India and Africa.
The other attendees were a mix of Allcargo’s business partners, which included exporters, freight forwarders and representatives from shipping lines, said a release.
