Australian Minister to lead business mission in India next month

Melbourne : Australian Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb will lead a 300-strong promotional campaign and business mission to India next month, aimed at further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

'Australia Business Week in India', a promotional campaign and business mission, will be the largest event of its kind undertaken by Australia in India which will be staged in eight major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chandigarh.

"The purpose of the mission is really to give the new momentum to the business ties of the two nations," Australia's Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner (South Asia) Nicola Watkinson said, while asserting that the trade between both sides was about tenth of what is between Australia and China.
