Notification No.37 /2005-Customs

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1^st March, 2002 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R.118 (E), dated the 1^st March, 2002, namely:-

In the said notification,-

(A) in the Table,-

(i) for S.No. 75E and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: -

Liquefied Propane and Butane mixture, Liquefied Propane, Liquefied Butane and Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) imported for supply to household domestic consumers at subsidized prices under the public distribution system (PDS) Kerosene and Domestic LPG Subsidy Scheme, 2002, as notified by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas vide notification No. P-20029/18/2001-PP. dated 28^th January, 2003

(ii) after S.No. 507 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“ 508.	Any Chapter	Monofilament long line system for tuna fishing	5%	-	97 ”;

(B) in the Annexure,-

(i) in the Conditions, after Condition 96, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“97. If at the time of importation, the importer produces a certificate from an officer, not below the rank of Director in the Marine Products Export Development Authority, in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to the effect that that the imported goods constitute monofilament long line system for tuna fishing and are intended to be used for tuna fishing.” ;

(ii) after the Conditions,-

(a) in List 26, in item (17), sub-item (vi) shall be omitted;

(b) in List 26A, after item (4), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“(5) Degaussing coil ”.
