          G.S.R.96(E). -In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 156 read with provisions of Chapter XA of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2003, notified vide notification No. 52/2003-Customs (N.T.), dated the 22nd July, 2003 and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R. 570 (E), dated the 22^ndJuly, 2003, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
