While the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) came into effect in May 2022, the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) formally took effect on December 29, 2022. They aim to boost their bilateral trade to $50 billion and $100 billion, respectively, during the next five years, as per import export data.
