Induja Flagship Ashok Leyland is focusing on non-truck business and exports. Addressing the media after the company's Annual General Meeting, Vinod K Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland said, “We want the exports and non-truck business to grow very fast. That will sustain the business and on top of it, we have done enough to reduce our cost, reduce our break-even so that even if our truck business does not come back very quickly, we should not be in trouble.”
Economic Times reported that power plants in India are not importing coal despite global prices of the fuel slumping to decade-low levels. Powerow prices generating companies are rather operating at lower capacity on domestic coal that is short in supply, as distribution companies (discoms) are not willing to pay for costly power fuelled by imports.

July 25: The Finance Ministry on Friday said at present it has no proposal to lower customs duty on gold from the current 10 per cent. “Currently, there is no proposal to reduce the customs duty on gold,” minister of state for finance Nirmala Sitharaman said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
Government does not have any current proposal to cut the record 10% import duty on gold, Minister of State for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday.
